Greetings, I wanted to post up a bit of information for those of you who are suffering with low fps, installation issues etc... The computer that I run Star Citizen on is a piece of junk, $100 walmart win 10 pc that's 2 years old, the internet connection is 30mbps cable and I'm east coast usa. I could not build or upgrade at the moment and came across Shadow which is a remote console service that gives you the equivalent of a higher end gaming pc with a choice of operating system platforms to chose from. I have been using it for just over a week. Running around in oli i am seeing up to 25fps and it stays pretty smooth. There is no noticable latency between my computer and the Shadow and the latency between the Shadow and Star Citizen servers is the same. It runs great and is stable. The only issues that Ive seen or experience is server lag and server crashes, as well as typical to be expected ingame bugginess. Anyway if you have questions ask away. I'm not trying to sell you on the service, there are lots of people who have trouble playing due to their hardware or just cant play at all. This really is a fantastic alternitive. My own plan is to use this until the game is close to release, save up my upgrade money and the cash I'd use to buy a new gaming pc when the game finally releases. I hope this helps some folks become more able to enjoy Star Citizen as it develops.
