So I am having a serious screen tearing, rubber-banding, lag issue with my Quest 3 when using the mouse to turn. No problems at all when using my head to turn left and right; it's as smooth as my monitor is... Sometimes it does one or some combo of those three things so hard that the headset crashes but the game is fine - not common but it's happened a handful of times. The mirrored image on my computer has none of the listed issues; also is there a way to disable the mirrored mode in SC? I had a Quest 3S and it was working much better than the Quest 3. I had such a great experience with the 3S that I upgraded to the 3 thinking the better lenses would be even more epic. So, I gave the 3S away, now I'd take my lower resolution and LCD screens back gladly :disappointed: Currently I am running the Meta Horizon app because I have no easy way to run an ethernet cord to my computer to try Virtual Desktop and my wifi speeds are insane so I haven't been very motivated to take on the ethernet task. My link cable speed is 2.8 Gbps, not once has the test been lower or higher than that. -I've tried all the refresh rates and resolution multipliers (including leaving it at 1x) - no effect at all. If anything, 72hz makes it feel even worse. -In the debug tool I have: Spacewarp - disabled Dynamic bitrate - disabled Encode bitrate - I've changed this number by an increment of 100 from 200 to 1000. SC stops launching after going to 1100. Rest of the data is in the picture below ~300-ish seems to have the least amount of tearing but it's still unplayable anywhere near cities. In space it's playable at any number between 300 and 900. So really I'm just trying to optimize for cities and space stations because I really like to fly around the cities in VR but it's kind of a no-go right now. That being said, if anyone can explain to me why I wouldn't try to use at least half the cable speed (1400Mbps) and how a lower bitrate actually makes it better, I'd really appreciate it because that makes no sense at all to me... Maybe that's just how it is right now? Hoping to talk to some tech/VR wizards that can unlock some extra performance for me as google hasn't been helpful so far. Some secret setting in the Debug tool or something? I took a video of the lense picture with my phone if anyone thinks it would be helpful to see it. System and graphics: Intel 13700k RTX 5080 FE DDR5 5500 MT, 96gigs DLSS on Quality and transformer model Very High on all settings, changing these made no noticeable difference. The 3S was handling Very high + Ultra (where you can) like a champ PS, I'm going to keep playing VR because the moments where it's not having this issue are incredible. So, I'm not here to complain. Just seeing if anyone has tips to try on the Quest 3 to resolve my in-city issues. Thanks in advance!
