Hello citizens, I use OBS Studio to stream Star Citizen, but when I'm on 3.18 version, OBS crashs after some time : the bitrate falls to zero and the programm is not responding anymore. It happens only with 3.18. My specs : R9 5950x, RTX 3070, 32 Go RAM, Windows 11 22H2 If someone can help me, that someone would be a lifesaver Quick update : The downgrade to OBS 28.1.2 did not change anything, but I've got a workaround : with the in game console and the command r_gen12 1 (activating hybrid Gen 11/Gen 12 rendering), OBS doesn't crash anymore. So, it seems that OBS has a problem with Gen12 Quick update 2 : I don't know how and why, but the issue seems to be solved. Maybe it's the last 3.18 patch, maybe it's the last Nvidia driver. But it's solved Quick update 3 : Latest 3.18 PTU patch seems to have broken OBS again (version 8352563). So, it seems that Nvidia drivers are not at fault, but something in Gen12 is in conflict with OBS Quick update 4 : Ok, so, even with only Gen11 activated on 3.18, or with an hybrid Gen11 + Gen12, the issue is still there. So... there is something with 3.18 that OBS doesn't like. After discussing with other content creators, even the VRAM doesn't seems to be the problem. So... CIG... I hope you read this and help some content creators Final update : Solved ! The issue came from Windows 11 and its hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling. De-activated it, and OBS is running smoothly with 3.18 now. The link to the solution : https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/updated-to-win11-obs-randomly-freezing.151569/#post-554146
