Hey all: I’m an RX 6700 XT player who kept getting completely blocked from launching SC with no crash reporter and an instant Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) popup: Untrusted system file atidxx64.dll Verify didn’t help, deleting caches didn’t help, and rolling back drivers didn’t help. A few others in my org were stuck for weeks with the same issue. This seems to relate to the Easy Anti-Cheat “Untrusted atidxx64.dll” crash. Windows restoring outdated driver files is also involved. I dug into it and found the root cause: Windows was restoring an old AMD DX11 stub (atidxx64.dll) that EAC refuses to load. This seems to affect RDNA2 cards the most. Because this can permanently block SC from launching, I wrote up a clear, step-by-step fix for AMD users who run into this problem. It's a work in progress, and frankly my hope is that despite the work I've put into it, SC makes it obsolete very soon with their own fix. If you’re in this AMD camp and have other ideas, please share them. SC dev posts on this issue have been pretty limited so far, so it may be on the community to help each other past it. o7
