Been trying to figure out why I'm having a random crash...Video Card seems to work fine other than in SC. I can play Star Marine and never crash. Get into AC or the PU (Even Single Player AC since 3.1) and the game runs amazingly for a short period of time and then kicks me out to the error reporter. If I check the game logs it's showing DXGI Adapter Reset and Adapter Removed errors every time it happens. I'm running Win 10 x64 Pro with 24 GB of RAM, the Card mentioned in the Subject Line, an RX570 8GB Gaming X card, Samsung Evo M.2 NVMe 256GB SSD running OS, Game, and Page file. Processor is an A10-7860k Quad Core Processor/APU, which isn't the best, but from everything I've seen isn't bottlenecking me in performance and isn't showing up in the logs as the cause of these crashes. I've tried different Radeon drivers and game settings to no avail. I've come down to there being maybe three possibilities of what is going on, maybe someone else has more ideas and can tell me if I'm on the right track or not. 1) SC possibly has a problem with with APU's. Seems the errors I'm getting could have to do with the game switching to the graphics card in the APU rather than my RX570 for no apparent reason and that's causing the CTD. 2) I've read SC might have problems with factory overclocked cards, which I know this one is, however I've tried tuning it down using separate apps like MSI Afterburner (now uninstalled) and the Wattman built into the Radeon Settings. Nothing helped. If anything it crashed more quickly when toning down the speeds. 3) Even though the card never exhibits problems and passes all tests, there's a defect in the card and I need to return it. Can anyone think of anything else I'm missing? Any other tests to try? Often blow through 2 or 3 waves of Vanduul Swarm or Pirate Swarm in single player and it runs lightning fast, but then, always, random CTD. That's usually where I test things because so many people claim crashing in the PU is common, but crashing in single player AC never happened for me until I got this card. I used to run everything on this machine with an RX460 with only 2GB of VRAM prior to 3.0 and it ran perfectly in all game modes. I only upgraded my card because I knew 3.0 would be more taxing, and I wanted to get the most out of the new graphics and environments it had to offer. I also find it odd I never crash in Star Marine or if I run another game. Makes me think the problem isn't the card and option #3 is unlikely.
