Howdy folks: technologically illiterate person here. I've been really excited to play on this after watching youtubers playing on the 3.0 ptu, and downloaded it yesterday. I've been trying to launch it for the better part of two hours now and I can't seem to find what i need on the forums. Anyway, a couple weird things seem to happen. The first is that when i launch the game, and slightly after the small blue window with the SC logo and landing pad scene pops up, i get three identical windows telling me to go to the settings on the CIG launcher (which is weird to me because it's now the RSI launcher but w/e) and verify the game files. At this point, the game will either CTD immediately or CTD after loading the window with the Idris and planets. If i verify the game files, the launcher gives me a progress bar for "downloading manifest" but "updating game files" flashes by immediately after. So, thinking the files were verified, i launched the game only to be greeted with the same windows and problems. Anybody know what to do? Thanks for the help. EDIT: I have found a fix for this!! I don't remember the source, but thanks to whoever it was! Go to the game launcher and click on the third tab labeled settings and change the library folder from /Roberts Space Industries to /Roberts Space Industries/Star Citizen. It just involves moving a couple folders around. Dunno why that worked only that it did. Hope that was enough information.9
