EDIT 3/25/18: Read the title people, im comparing a pure space sim called FS2, with a pure space sim like SQ42, SQ42 is a mission based space sim just like FS2 is. Im NOT comparing FS2 to SC. Some people may take it the wrong way, and with good reason, i acted aggressively several times about this subject, but i really feel sad about all this, this weekend i played a Freespace 2 community mod called "Blut Planet", specially the campaign called "War in Heaven 1", and im just shocked that its 2018 and still no game has come close to anything like this. Freespace 2 is a old school game, open source now, improved by the community. Blue Planet is just a mod of many, just take a look at this: (all videos are mine, not monetized). Intro: Ending: Warning: the first 5 minutes may contain actual Space Sim mechanics like: Wingmen orders, energy administration, turret/subsystem targeting and destroy, a properly working match target speed system, a working 2D radar that actually helps the pilot in battle, and a simple but very functional UI. Meanwhile in SQ42: Meanwhile in Star Citizen: St. Patrick’s Green ships I dont know what to say, thats how i feel right now, what is happening with this whole project? Why so many people here on spectrum support doing such things? Please someone get CR to play this, i want him to remember what this game should be about: What he said on the 2012 reveal trailer. I want to be a pilot, i want to fly ships!
