No Mans Sky just dropped a massive update, The Voyager. They added the two things that Star Citizen had and NMS didn't. Space walking and walking inside your space ship. Not only did they add that, but their "walking inside space ships" is actually better. You can multi crew and use the ship as an actual base! You can grow food inside it, and it's completely modular. This is crazy. I didn't buy into the hype with ED updates, nor did I think for a second that Starfield will hurt Star Citizen. But with this NMS update, what is Star Citizen actually offering? NMS is now offering more than Star Citizen. Massive universe with survival, exploration mechanics. Alien colonies, quests, crafting and base building. Multiplayer, multi-crew ships, progress... I don't know, it doesn't look good for Star Citizen. Here we are still struggling with the basics. Still the log in/out mechanic is basically non existing. There is no org support, no player trading. The game is bugged so much that even the mechanics that the game offers are sometimes unplayable. Could this be the downfall of Star Citizen? I surely hope not, I hope it will put a bit more pressure on CIG, so they will actually release Sq42 and start taking things seriously. Competition is out there, how will you make yourself different?
