I didn't even know this game was in the works until a few weeks ago when I think it appeared in my Steam Discovery Queue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8iiaky4UN4 Deadlock is based on the "new" Battlestar Galactica series (with Edward James Olmos as Adama, and Mary McDonnell as President Roslin), but depicts events of the 1st Cylon War. It's a turn based strategy game with a real time component. Basically, you make your decisions in a turn, then the decisions are played out in real time, and then you go back to decisions. You have to plan your ships course, launch Vipers and missiles, and make similar tactical decisions. There is a campaign "meta game" where you have to keep the 12 colonies happy (similar how things work in X-Com) and build new ships, organize your fleets, hire officers and select your missions. One of the beauties of the game is that it captures the look & feel of BSG really well. You can watch a replay of a batte where an AI director controls the camera, giving you the "handy cam" feel that BSG used so effectively. The sounds are great, too, and the soundtrack isn't bad either, though it's not from Bear McCreary himself. http://slitherine.com/products/product.asp?gid=692 As a BSG:TNS fan, I really like it. It's not a perfect game, but definitely fun and with a great atmosphere. Anyone else tried it?
