The Talon Shrike is illustrated here executing a similar maneuver. It is described as a hit-and-run ambusher. Such a Ship should not have a weapon that needs a hard-lock to be fired reliably. Could you imagine if an F4U Corsair had to wait for a lock? Waiting for a lock gives the defenders time to reach AA weapons. Waiting for a lock gives the defenders time to scramble their own Ships. Waiting for a lock would lead to an unnecessary prolonging of contact, which could lead to losses for the attacker. As-such, I humbly request that the Shrike be given the capability to equip Rockets. Or even get a variant! I would happily purchase a new variant of the Shrike that carries Rockets. (Just please make sure their launching tubes are as close to the midline of the Ship as possible to help with convergence) Best still would be if the original Talon Shrike used LosTech. I believe that a Kinetic Bombardment weapon would be very cool. Something similar to a Railgun firing rods, so that there is a reduced infrared signature. As a side-note, what about the siren?
