I am going to use another similar game as an example as it relates to star citizen. Dune lost 80% if it's players due to nerfs to griefers. Check the history. As soon as the devs made it so that Unarmed Ornithopters can fly faster than fully loaded Rocket Ornithopters, they lost 80% of the playerbase. 80% of people who played Dune left because they can no longer attack Unarmed Players since the Unarmed Players can just fly away. They did not nerf PVP. Armed Ornithopters can still attack Armed Ornithopters. 50% of the Deep Desert is Full PVP enabled. PvP is occurring right now on a massive scale amongst actual PvPers. As evidenced by the mass exodus, griefers far outnumber actual PvPers. But that's not what those types of players wanted. They wanted to attack unarmed players. As soon as the game was made to be fair, Dune died. Because of Seal Clubbing griefers pretending to want PVP but afraid to actually attack anyone who can fight back. I wonder which game they went to and why they are so opposed to PVE servers in Star Citizen.
