I dreamt that it was a few years down the line, and Star Citizen was basking in the afterglow of the greatest launch ever. Somehow, I was in CIG's LA offices...and everyone was stoked. Bug reports were average/below average, and the devs were happily working away on features to be launched in an upcoming update. Then, a VIP arrived...the guy at the reception desk immediately recognized him, it was Richard Garriott... He was shown to the Chairman's office, and was greeted in the hallway by the Chairman himself. The two men exchanged pleasantries and the Chairman then asked "Have you thought about it?" I strained to listen, the visitor whispered, "So, you really think your engine could handle all of my ideas for Ultima Universe?" The Chairman raised his hand to hush Lord British, and pulled the visitor into his office, looking around suspiciously as he quickly closed the door. The receptionist suddenly popped-up right in-front of me...only now his face was melting into cheese covered maranara...all covered in ants...lots of ants. Looking around, all of the other people in the office were now transformed into the freaky, faceless nuns from the movie High Spirits; and there was a dog...a strangely normal dog, just sitting there shaking his head in a disappointed manner. The melted-faced receptionist then poked his finger into my chest and screamed "It's time to go!!!!" __________________________________________________ My alarm goes off...I'm startled awake and it's now 6am. I hit snooze and lay my head back down, muttering to myself dreamily.... "Ultima Universe...sounds like a pretty cool place..."
