It's weird... I thought I'd be playing SC by now, and I'm maybe a bit frustrated that I'm not sometimes, but I wanted to thank you guys. I never really thought about doing dev work myself, but seeing the in's and out's, and especially the long form and bug smashing videos, really sparked a passion for game development in me. The most interesting part though, is just how it's changed my perception of games. I see so many more details and interesting bits. I pay more attention to audio, visuals, design, color language, lighting, etc. It feels like watching movies now, after having taken an intro to film class. I used to think I knew everything, but now I realize I know nothing. Still though, CIG is a master class in open development, and their game is a gem. I'm sure it'll come out eventually, even if it is 10 years from now, but that's okay. It sparked an entirely new and interesting other hobby I never knew I'd engage in. Life is strange like that, huh? You buy a space-ship on a whim, and 5 years later you eagerly await the new development updates and spend months making your own game!
