Hello lads and gents, I have waited far too long but now we are close of getting something again. All little update about the past and the current situation: Paragon is a third person moba developed and released by epic games in 2016. However epic did not listen to its community and butchered it over the years. So after the big monolith update they lost most of their players. They did carry on with that b******* until they had to close it down because of the low player count. Official they told us that they needed the resources for the fortnite team and the playercounts are too low. However epic did at least something good by publishing the paragon assets for the unreal engine. After that two small developer studios decided to pick up where epic failed epically. Pretty fast after epic droped paragon they stated that they will develop a paragon v2. The idea is that they listen to the community and most importantly they will focus on a pre monolith paragon. After a very long time of complete radio silence with only bits and pieces both developer studio are finally close to a playable state. It might be strange having two companies working on their own solution. However I think its good for the final product because the changes are pretty decent that we at least get the paragon that the community wants. The first game is called Predecessor. This one has the smaller developer team. They had a closed alpha this weekend. I played 25 hours this weekend. Pros: Very little bugs Very good performance (constantly 80+ fps) Very satisfying gameplay (hitboxes, etc.) Very good visuals (compareable to paragon) Cons: Only a few heros so far Basic functions are still missing (Party, Rich card system, ...) No running mode The second game is called Fault. This game is going into early access this friday (17.07). Fault has more developer resources. Sadly I had no chance so far testing it but I expect them to be further ahead than predecessor. Both games are listed on steam. They do have more heros and also have a roadmap for upcoming heros. I will play Fault at friday (most likely hardcore) together with my old paragon buddy. We are still looking for a third teamplayer who is up for the task to steamroll the enemy team. If you are interested just hit me up privately.
