So I am aware of all the kaveats.... ... revolutionary tech, focus on SQ42, planned ambition, scope and details on one hand, and indie-studio-level quality and lack of transparicy of how the game works under the hood and if it even has a chance to scale safely on the other hand. But on the surface, and I am sure especially to people not familiar with everything that went into SC, I have to say Qanga, despite being a discount alternative with an Amazon product name, makes SC with its alleged 700+mio in funding, alleged 12 years of development and ridiculously-priced ships look like a bit of a joke. I might actually give the game a try after seeing all these gameplay videos. And while I have no illusion that it could ever replace SC for me, I think in terms of public optics it is a little bit damaging for CIG's reputation.
