If you played Everquest (EQ from here on) this name probably rings a bell. If you didn't here's the run down: https://wiki.project1999.com/Nektulos_Forest Front yard of the dark elves city in EQ, they had fierce NPC guards ranging in levels all the way up to level 50, which was the max level of players and NPCs at the time. Me, the wood elf (hereditary enemy of the dark elves) wandered my happy ass into Nektulos around level 4 and was promptly one shotted by one of those guards. I swore revenge. By the time I reached level 15 I'd formed a guild and proceeded to load all twenty or so of us onto a boat (our guild were all denizens of Greater Faydark) march through Freeport announcing our plans to assault the guards to the very gates of the dark elf city! By the time we arrived there were well over 50 players there and we started killing guards. The great thing about EQ back then was you could buff NPC and give them weapons. So dark elf players started showing up and buffing the guards and equipping them with better gear!!! Then they started pulling the level 50 guards on to our group! Random duels broke out between players and it was nothing short of glorious. This went on for about four hours and it's something that I'll never forget.. and ONE of the memories that made EQ such an amazing game. TL:DR The current situation at Cry Astro is VERY much like the situation I described above. SC plans to give us this type of game play experience. We're witnessing it right now. Welcome to the playground, Citizens!
