I've been playing Starfield and having a ton of fun, but I notice there's a lot of unhappy people out there. People who were expecting a spaceflight sim. I wasn't expecting Starfield to be a spaceflight sim, I was expecting it to be a Bethesda RPG set in space with some space flight. That's exactly what it is, and as a longtime fan of Bethesda RPGs I'm thrilled. It's amazing though to see just how many people were expecting more of a spaceship sim. Tons of people who don't play SC or are even negative about the project- yet they want exactly what SC is working towards. There will be a much larger audience for SC than I even thought once it approaches feature complete. The single player SQ42 and then the persistent universe which will probably be rolling out new star systems every year or so the way traditional MMOs have expansion content.
