For anyone that hasn't played ED, I'll spare you. Basically you get up to speed and then engage jump drive and you accelerate as long as you go straight. You can actually turn towards anything you'd like in jump mode. It reduces your speed. Great for exploring. Your FOV changes and certain objects/destinations magnify on your screen with HUD markers. It's the best thing about elite's game design I've seen so far. The rest leaves much to be desired.
