If you haven't taken a look at what this game is, or seen what is in the many expansions for it, then you are seriously missing a massive gem. Everything you can do in Star Citizen is possible here, and with many styles of play available; commerce, political intrigue, exploration, combat, mining, crime, customization of ships, etc. You can become anything from a space hustler to the commander of a capital ship. It contains all the elements that most people think isn't yet available in any space game. Maybe that is because X4 is notoriously under-represented or advertised - its actually kind of alarming that it almost never appears in any list of current space games that compare to SC. Like many who backed Star Citizen based on its pitch for a sci-fi space sim, I've watched the game turn into something much more like Call of Duty instead. As they remove more and more options for solo play, and crank up the artificial difficulty and complication, you won't be able to run anything bigger than a single-seat fighter as a solo player. So, if you are one of the many who feel like you're being flattened by the multi-crew steamroller, consider checking out X4: Foundations, or its predecessors; X1, X2, and X3. https://store.steampowered.com/app/392160/X4_Foundations/
