So for a long time now I've been collecting a bunch of Lore information to aid our org in RP dialogue. I call it "Casual Lore," which is any Lore I consider "Common Knowledge." We all know what Pepsi and Coke are, we all know who The Beatles are, MOST of us know who our President/Prime Minister/Overlord is, so for conversational purposes, I started collecting all those kinds of tidbits so that we can bring it up casually in conversation to help with immersion and sounding like we're actually existing within the Star Citizen Universe! I'll be posting several iterations of these, and if you have anything to add to the list, let me know! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Xi'an: The Xi'An culture holds Family Legacy in high regard, and abandoning your family is considered highly taboo. Recently they boycotted a movie they helped fund, Strange & Stranger, because the main Xi'an character had abandoned her family, and they feared the UEE was "glorifying" the action There's no concept of 'luck' in Xi'an culture, so wishing them "good luck" carries no weight Banu: When meeting with a Banu, it's customary/mandatory to drink tea from their Slomodons(spelling check needed) The Banu are very big on first impressions. The first area you enter in a ship is always decorated with all their trophies and accomplishments. The more luxurious, the higher the status, which garners more respect, and better maneuvering room for bargains. Tevarin: Lioraj Ceremony - Banned since The Purge in 2610, The ceremony is held on Jalan, at the Temple of Rijora. The ceremony historically was to celebrate past ancestors, and future descendants. Wear Kiari, a traditional woven mail. Kr’Thak: INFORMATION UNKNOWN Vanduul: A Vanduul child is abandoned at a young age, given nothing but a knife. There's no family bonds, only clans. The way the Vanduul mark strength and status is with armor. The less, the stronger. Some older Vanduul even have armor permanently grafted to their skins from combat, which shows proof of battle
