Greetings readers, Today I bring to you the latest article for the Red Hammer Manifesto blog, titled "Hurston Dynamics elites are not benefactors for workers". This is the first original piece for the blog - the previous articles having being republished from my previous media platform, the Conscientious Mag. In the new article I respond to a recent Meritus Press reprint: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/spectrum-dispatch/19424-Life-Labor-The-Secret-History-Of-Hurston-Dynamics about the history of Maria Wharton's role in establishing supposed welfare services for HD workers. I take on the piece with an eye on critically examining its narrative of benevolent corporate leaders creating a legacy for the working class. I attempt to provide an overview of the backgrounds and class interests of these individuals, to reject the notion and claim that it is faux history developed in the upper echelons of power-affiliated media and delivered to the public, instead of the actual people's history of Stanton and beyond.
