It's been a series of parties, revelry and a chance for the big manufacturers to show off their wares to those who are new to Stanton. However, no Invictus would be complete without those Cutthroats of Cellin, those sinners of Stanton, the Chaos Squad, ripping through and maiming miners and holding hostages for loot to fill their pockets. We were sent the following video from a spy satellite that uploaded it directly from their onboard HUD. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd2nNrrAxPE&ab_channel=ChaosSquad Today we catch the Squad hunting Roc miners, one of their favorite and most profitable pastimes. While the miner sat being industrious outside of this AndromedaTaurus, the Squad decided to deploy ground forces and launched a Mantis to ensure the ship was going nowhere. Utilizing the Hurricane, the pirates quickly shut down the cargo ship with disruptors, the miner was at their mercy quickly. The standard black flag was run up by Pirate Lord Captain Dirty, demanding 30k or the ship and it's crew would be destroyed. Pirate IBeKadin attempted to board the ship however the pilot engaged in what is called a "combat log". This is when the pilot removes their implant from their neuro-cortex themselves and causes them to lose contact with reality, pushing them into an alternate reality into Terra's past. Many citizens have shared this hallucination and scientists are not sure what is behind this mass hallucination but it is known that if you remove your chip, you are thrust into this archaic and disturbing environment. We highly do not recommend this. With the Roc no longer guarded, the crew decided to loot the rover for it's cargo. The pilot made no effort to engage or negotiate or escape, choosing to self immolate rather than face dealing with the pirates.. Citizens, always keep your eyes on your radar, especially when mining. If you find yourself surrounded and a pirate demands payment, you lose nothing by negotiating. We know for a fact that Chaos Squad will honor deals and many other pirate organizations do as well as word of oath breakers spread fast and money is made or lost by citizens refusing to make deals. We are rapidly approaching July which means: Christmas in July is where we take a pot of donated money and hand it out as Christmas gifts.
