First, we have a special walkthrough of the 600i before she's due for her refit and remodel. That's right citizens, Origin Jumpworks has in the wings a design update for the beloved 600i, their mini yacht. Before they get around to ripping her apart down to those bulkheads, we did a full walkthrough giving you the numbers, specs and details down to which leather they use for those amazing seat cushions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoOxhtrAM20&t=433s&ab_channel=Fastforecast Speaking of bulkheads, while out dropping new weather beacons around MicroTech, we were dismayed to pick up a marked trend over the past 3 years. Drawing on the ice cores that have developed since it's terraforming we have discovered that MicroTech is indeed headed towards an ice age. Even the Terrapin's legendary durability was put to the test in extreme whiteout conditions that caused multiple flameouts and shut down the quantum drive twice due to icing. As temperatures continue to plummet, we advise citizens to exercise extreme caution when deviating from areas of high population such as New Babbage where localized warming has occurred due to traffic and green house gassing. It's only going to get chillier folks. Next up on our radar is the Starfarer. With the firmware update that finally allows the MISC Starfarer to deploy it's refuleling boom, tankers and fuel rats are happily out plying their trade in the black. We had the distinct pleasure of meeting up with a citizen with the call sign of "Texaco 1-1" who was courteous and accommodating as we had three thirsty ships that drew heavily from those massive tanks. This brings us to the problem. Refueling began here, just above MicroTech's newest manmade lake, newly stocked with the most exotic freshwater fish that could tickle the sport fisherman's fancy. While doing sounds of the depths and taking water sampling, we noticed we were low on fuel and requested resupply. Texaco 1-1 politely came by and began docking procedures. Due to a software issue, when docking, all ships are slaved together and the fueling ship shuts off it's engines to avoid damage to the tanker. It's a safety feature that MISC insisted be pushed out before their tankers were released on the market. What this does however is shuts down the engine of the refueling ship and causes it to fall in atmosphere. Gravity takes over on those heavy ships of ours and does what it's always does, pulls the now unpowered ship towards the surface which is a very bad time. We noticed this issue when the Drake Reds we were with as well as our Terrapin all experienced the shut down. We'll be reporting this to MISC and hope for a push back of the software. We're now in May citizens and that means July is coming quickly. For those who don't know, July is when we do our Christmas in July.
