To Whom it May Concern, I would like to complain about the deceptive representation of one of your employees at Vantage Rentals. I was looking to rent a MISC Prospector so I could make a few credits. I went to your kiosk and talked to a salesperson named Daveion Reid. I told him I only wanted to rent the craft for 24 hours but after I told him my situation, he convinced me to rent the craft for three days. He assured me that within three days I was able to double the investment I put down in the rental costs. I admit I was desperate for credits and because of his assurances of making double the rental cost, I agreed to the terms. I committed myself to the three-day rental at 108203 aUEC, which was just over half of my credits, but again Daveion Reid said with no doubt many miners were able to make double the money or more. The first run was great. I went from the rental office on Loreville to Daymar, mined some minerals there including Agricium and refined the contents at Port Olisar. I received 22500 aUEC credits and I was thinking I was starting off on the right foot with that much money. Few hours later I did a second run and it wasn’t profitable at all. In going to Daymar again, I thought the power was insufficient to break down the rocks. Many scans I did, I had to crank the power to 100% to get even a 1-2% on rock energy level before it returns to zero. I got low grade diamonds and titanium, but the inert material was over 50% so my yield was 7622 aUEC. I asked around and it turns out I was offered I had the standard Arbor MH1 mining head. For the best results, especially for mining high profit materials like Agricium or Tatanite, I would need to invest in a different mining head like a Lancet MH1 or the Helix I. I contacted Daveion Reid and requested to get a different mining head, but he said for another head it would cost extra. I told him that didn’t seem fair as I told him why I was renting the ship and if I was told there needed to be a different head, I would have gotten the different head and only rented the for a day. He told me mining wasn’t an easy profession, but you can make money. He basically went into the same sales pitch to convince me to purchase a long-term rental. I realized I wasn’t going to get anywhere with him and I there wasn’t a way I had money to get even a basic upgrade, so I went out the next morning to try my luck again. I came across a rock with Agricium and Aluminum that looked promising. I was able to crack the rock after 15 minutes of effort but it all it only yielded 10% of capacity. The other rocks in the area, where I spend most of the day, were uncrackable. I headed back to Port Olisar and I was ordered to stop for an inspection. I was cleared and continued. Before I got to the Armistice Zone, I saw there was activity with the defense system was firing on a Cutlass Black. When I requested a landing zone, I got another message to halt for inspection. I complied and waited five minutes for an all clear for the scan. Then I got a call from Port Olisar that I was taking too much time for landing. I gunned in for the landing then I was told I had a violation because I wasn’t scanned. The end result was I made less than 500 on the run and I had to pay a fine of 20000 for the violation. I had more than enough of Vantage Rental and of the salesperson Daveion Reid. If I need another rental, I will NOT be returning to your company because of the deceptive and false promises of your employee and your company.
