Star Citizen is a game built on dreams. It began with the Chairmans dream, has been funded by the dreams of its community for 14 years, and people continue to stand by it through all the mud, setbacks, and hardships because they believe in keeping that dream alive. I wanted to share my dream and I encourage you to share yours. Please dont use this thread for venting, i know the game is going through a difficult phase, but this is for the dreams out there. I want to be a salvager. I want to live on the Argo Moth with a cozy little kitchen where I can make myself a coffee to stay hydrated and grab food from the refrigerator. My ship has a name, and I can talk to the ships AI and ask about status of the ship or maybe do sector scans. I dream of flying deep into space and discovering the wrecks of ships left behind from great battles of the past that I can loot for rare components, gun and valuable cargo. If I’m lucky, I might stumble upon a derelict ship or an abandoned space station. Sometimes maybe alien technology, strange artifacts, or remnants of an advanced civilization that vanished long ago. I can also take on simple salvage jobs from the job board when credits are tight, but what I truly love is the unknown of space. I have a wardrobe where I can put on my work clothes aka space suit when I have found something worth exploring. While I am outside my ship i can still communicate with it though. "Turn on the floodlights, please" I might ask and the AI responds with a pleasant voice: "Of course Miiruk". While I'm working my ship can suddenly inform me that a ship has entered the sector and ask me if I want it to turn on the QT and prepare an emergency jump. "Not now, but keep tracking it and keep me updated" I could reply. If i'm low on fuel, my ship would inform me and also be able to request refueling from an NPC or player. After my cargo hold is full I would travel back to my base on a planet where I have set up shop. There, I can break down components, repair and upgrade others, and put anything I don’t need up for sale. I would then restock my ship, make sure everything is in order, and head back out among the stars. A man can dream. What is yours?
