So there I was, zipping around in my Mustang, opening her up and seeing what she could do, you know, just generally messing about. I'd been flying for a while, and at this point I was way out from Olisar, on the edge of the system really. I was just setting course for home when I glanced out of the window and saw a glint of light out of the corner of my eye. I looked closer, while getting ready to burn in case it was someone unfriendly looking to steal my cargo and harvest my organs. The object wasn't another ship, luckily for my kidneys, but something smaller than my 'Stang and a lot closer than I'd have liked. It was scratched and pitted by space debris but still cherry red in my headlights. It was floating along sedately, without a care in the world. How long it had been in space I don't know, but it must have been a long time. It was one of those old sports cars, with an ancient space suit strapped into the front seat. I saw one in a museum once, one of the very first electric vehicles. There was a light glowing faintly on the dashboard, as if something was still running, but I couldn't tell what. My jaw dropped open as the scene played out, and I just sat there watching as the car passed directly in front of me as if out for a Sunday drive. Sitting there as if emulating the motionless space suit, I watched it disappear back into the darkness from which it had come. I swear this is true, but my mind hasn't been entirely clear of late, so much deja vu and sudden memory loss. Please, if you see it, tell me. At least then I'll know I'm not completely crazy.
