This is my report on yesterday's roleplay, which was very unusual. LittleMiss and Myself Set off on a salvage Hunt in the Hercules C2, On our way to the ship we met up with a VIP passenger, a member of cig at microtech. We set off for Yela, because we had a very important guests on our ship I immediately tried to contact Yosser on the galactic Comms channel, because he is our chief scout but sadly he was preoccupied, so we then contacted Captain ToppingBow who was just promoted to captain we did not have time to pre warn him of our mission. He Stopped what he was doing and he came to our aid in a combat ship, but sadly enough but was not able to join us fully because of technical issues, and shortly after our VIP had to leave, it was supposed to be a mission of no casualtys during the process we had a time limit of 30 minutes to do our salvage. LittleMiss was not allowed to leave the ship, and her job was to make sure we had plenty of food and drink and make sure what we salvage was stacked away safely. Captain ToppingBow was able to reach us but was not able to get on our ship within the time specified, because we were not allowed to fight back I had to pull away from the danger zone at least 20 km away, because of this LittleMiss fell out of the ship because I forgot to close the doors. I had to stay out of radar range so I was not detected by the enemy, LittleMiss had no option but to to EVA which would have taken nearly one hour. I was not sure if she had enough Oxygen or even if she was able to get 4 km out of the danger zone, so I decided to come back into the area so she could get back on my ship, I was able to get back within 5 km, but I could not get within 4 km of her because I would be detected by the enemy ship. So I had to retreat by 1 km the reason why I had to take this reaction, is because the enemy was in line of sight to LittleMiss and my ship, and if the enemy had seen me it would have flown straight towards me and LittleMiss and killed LittleMiss in the process. So everything had to be done by Line of Sight. because all radar had broken down on my side we had no way of contacting each other, but LittleMiss had line of sight of my ship and was able to get back on my ship and we went straight back home, very nice result. Conclusion CIG is now taking part in with normal backers in game making the game worth while playing in spite of all the difficulties. I will remember this day for many years to come, I think they should take part in a lot more activities with normal backers in game, making the game worth while playing. But the thing is they will never know it was me. One more thing I first met Chris Roberts in the A shop called Game in the Arndale Centre in Manchester over 40 years ago, when we were still youngsters I had problems with my Atari ST to work with Wing Commander, which he was happy to give me advice on, Not knowing who he was then as a game developer and not living too far from me in Manchester within 2 miles, he lived in Burnage and I lived in Whalley Range.
