Space, not quite the final frontier. These are not the voyages of the Starship Enterprise... Barely reaching out past the local neighborhood, our non-existent crew engages in a heated discussion with the local spaceport authorities over a small pile of credits worth of unpaid docking fines... "I HAVE a job lined up and NEED my ship to do it! I swear I can pay what's owed when I return, you KNOW I always return..." says the scraggly young pilot. [The dockworker fidgets with the controls, thinking about all the times he's heard that line, but this time he knows it rings true] "FIIIIIIIIiiiiiine...... ONCE! only once more or it's my head on the line and THEN Who is going to come to your rescue?" -- Dockworker "THANK YOU, YOU won't regret this I swear..." -- Pilot "SO then GO! Get your job done. I'm selling your stuff if you don't come back, should have done it yourself by now anyways. What's so easy about this job that you're so sure?" -- Dockworker. "Just a simple delivery run, my contractor said there are 3 boxes he needs picked up from a crash site. But it pays enough to get me started back up after... [looks away...]" replies the Pilot... "I understand, be careful out there. I've heard there are groups of Pirates in that area and would hate to have this conversation again, you know how much cloning messes with you." -- Dockworker "Yeah, and thanks for the reminder, I need to get my Imprint updated just in case. Your right though, last time WAS rough and I almost lost an arm. But that's another story for another time..." Pilot. "I remember, that's why I said something, safe travels..." [Releases docking clamp] "Get that imprint updated and PAY YOUR FINES!" -- Dockworker [Engines Starting] "YOUR THE BEST! [shouting over thrusters] I OWE YOU ONE!" -- pilot [LOUD ENGINE ROAR DROWNING OUT SPEACH] "YOU OWE ME TWELVE NOW!" - the dockworker screams knowing it was barely heard as the pilot had left the hangar.
