We're getting an epic visual planetary overhaul (dense forests, epic mountains, lush grass, swamps, etc) and we still have characters that pretty much have static emote poses with no head or neck movement capability and the singular walking animation that is very neutral. Can we please get some complementary exploration / relaxation themed emotes, poses, walking styles, and/or idles that would help our characters contextually also celebrate this milestone by looking like they're enjoying and engaging with the new outdoors? These don't have to be anything super fancy, just varied enough to get some fresh new character-environment poses, walking styles, and static/animated emotes that look different than the last 5 years. It can even be a collection of static poses that we have to manually align or position our character to our surroundings (ie. the hand on the tree). Also it should be noted that there are several legacy poses that can benefit from having head or neck movement (up, down, turning, looking over shoulder, etc.) that works with head tracking / FOIP like sitting and prone which would allow for much more variety and options from any single pose. As one can see from the references below, there's a lot of different looks and types of imagery one can achieve from just a single pose when we can independently move/turn the head to create different visuals and mood. Edit: Reworked Selfie Mode So this is a more advanced ask, but Star Citizen can certainly benefit from an improved selfie pose mode where your character appears to hold the camera in their hand so when you move the in-game camera, your character's arm moves with it and bends based on camera distance to the character (and physical character limitations) so your arm can either be in frame or not depending on it's angle and position relative to the camera that's being "held". The benefits of this mode is everyone understands it and it will open up a whole slew of Star Citizen selfies people will likely use on social media if it comes with a decent selection of selfie-friendly poses. Legacy selfie mode is just a camera in our character's face which can't change distance, angle, FOV, etc., which is why it's not as user-friendly as it could be and which I suspect is why it is not getting used much by players. Shifting to a "camera-in-hand" mode offers much more flexible camera positioning options which would also benefit with being able to switch / choose which hand the camera is in as well (to get the perfect angle for certain locations). And it goes without saying that head and neck movement tracking or idle animations for selfie mode should be enabled we aren't limited to only looking into the camera. Alternatively, this can also be done without rigging the character's arm to the camera by just adding several static outstretched arm poses at different angles. Or there could just be a feature where you press a button and your character automatically stretches out their arm(s) in the direction of the camera and perhaps auto-follows the camera's position (this would allow for subtle linked camera and arm movement to make it look like your character is actively moving the "selfie camera" when you move the in-game camera). And it would be an added bonus if the selfie mode can be used in conjuction with any other non-selfie pose to make it one. Please and thank you.
