Halifax Vanguard / HVG

Introduction
The Halifax Vanguard is a fair-trade operations paramilitary group dedicated to serving the public of the UEE with a wide range of protection and services (legal or otherwise). Our operators are paid on a per-contract basis and upon successful completion of said contract. Clients are required to pay a 15% down-payment up front with the rest of the payment being delivered upon successful completion of the operation. Prices are flexible and depend on the level of risk and skill required for the job, but listed prices are more of a guideline. We’re willing to work with anyone and do anything, given that the client upholds their end of the bargain.

Heavy cargo escort — 300k – 700k aUEC
Drug smuggling — 350k – 700k aUEC
Borrowed (stolen) goods acquisition — 400k – 800k aUEC
Paramilitary Support Package — 500k – 10mil aUEC (Price varies depending on level of engagement needed.)

Important
While Halifax Vanguard is a mil-sim paramilitary group, it’s important to recognize that Star Citizen is a game. We hold the right to and will reject offers to do anything outside of the game and we do not tolerate members who don’t. We do not accept offers that require us to do anything illegal IRL, and those that make those requests will find themselves blocked and firmly on our KOS list. Remember: this is all a game. Don’t take it too seriously. We’re all just here to have fun.

Rules of the organization:

1. No discrimination of any kind. Transphobia, homophobia, sexism, and general toxicity will not be tolerated.

2. Do not act on behalf of HVG unless you are authorized to do so. Contracts are processed through the Officers of our organization. Do not accept or reject contracts if you are not an authorized party. You may bring a potential contract to a member of leadership, but it is up to them if that contract is accepted.

3. Respect your peers. At the end of the day, we’re all here to have fun. Don’t ruin it for someone else.

General Rules:
1. Serve to the best of your ability. Do not leave a job half-done. Abandoning a contract will result in a sanction and demerit.
2. Respect the client. They’re the ones paying us to do these jobs. Unless they’re being toxic, treat them as if they’re your superior.
3. No friendly fire. This should be a given.
4. Be prepared for any situation. An operation can change at a moment’s notice, coming unprepared to a high-risk contract may result in loss of life and ship.
5. Roleplay isn’t required, but this is a mil-sim group, so be prepared to coordinate and communicate as a team.
6. Have fun.

Operators are paid on a per-contract basis, meaning once the contract has been deemed successfully completed, they will receive 20% of the full contract payment, plus a bonus depending on the level of risk attached to the contract.

Low Risk: 50k aUEC
Moderate Risk: 90k aUEC
High Risk: 300k aUEC
Very High Risk: 1mil aUEC
Extreme Risk: 5mil aUEC

Any operator can take up a contract once it is posted in the Operations Center, but be aware that if you come unprepared for higher-risk contracts, it may result in failure. That being said, the number of operators and equipment deployed to a contract varies depending on the risk-level assessment. A low-risk contract may only need one or two operators, where a VHR contract may require heavy armor support, air support, and several operators to complete.

Bounty contracts work different than other contracts. When a bounty is posted in the Operations Center, any operator can choose to accept that bounty and pursue it at will. The first to provide proof (through video or screenshot) of that bounty’s completion earns the full reward. Bounty rewards are the price the client paid to issue the bounty plus a bonus for the risk attached to that bounty. See above for risk bonuses.

If you are a member of HVG, contracts are paid at a reduced cost of 30%, and miners, scrappers, and traders get free access to escorts as needed.
