Born to a Japanese mother and Russian father, Ryoko has been looked down upon as a "half breed" but her peers. Her name translates to distant child. After Ryoko's mandatory school years she ran away to train as a pilot, going against her mother wishes. The military gave her that chance. Although she is technically disowned by her family she is still in good standing with her father, being a military man himself. With the death of her parents in the recent Vanduul attacks, she has acquired the resources to commission a RSI Polaris, The Bentenmaru, for production. With her induction to the UEE Marshals, she hopes to use it to combat the increasing number of threats to the empire.
