Born on Orison, Darian “Starstuff” Clarkson was the child of aerospace engineers Judie Clarkson and Robert Lupov. While their parents built ships, Darian became obsessed with the languages of alien civilizations.
At 11, life shifted. The family traded Crusader’s beauty for the smog of Lorville. There, Starstuff applied their xenolinguistic genius to corporate surveillance. By 23, hoping to find truth within the machine, they joined Hurston Security as a specialist in signal intelligence and non-human dialects.
The badge soon grew heavy. Starstuff realized their skills were being used to silence the very voices they wished to translate. Disillusioned by the corruption of language and the exploitation of the masses, they retired at 42. A brief stint with a rogue faction followed, but even among rebels, a "universal truth" remained elusive.
Now, freed from all allegiances, Starstuff drifts through the verse, driven by a longing for one final, untainted transmission waiting somewhere among the stars ...
