Born on the moon Rori, a small planetoid orbiting the planet Naboo, Mobius Riker was trained as a master of the polearm and as a master pistoleer by the great Force-sensitive Twi'lek, Sy'bokk Broo. During the years 2003–2011 of the Earth calendar, in a galaxy divided by war and chaos, Mobius set his YKL-37R Nova Cruiser on a course toward the edge of the known galaxy.
To his surprise, three months into his journey, a time dilation quantum filament appeared in front of his ship, and Mobius was pulled into the anomaly. He awoke three years later aboard a medical ship, part of a mission to chart an unknown region in the Stanton system. The humans who found him were astounded by the advanced technology of the Nova Cruiser. The United Earth Empire seized the ship and trained Mobius as a bounty hunter to capture criminals who had eluded the UEE.
