Aristodemus hails from a long line of explorers and engineers from the time his family left Earth in 2462. They settled in the Gemini Sector where they were instrumental in the construction of New Constantinople. Aristodemus grew up listening to his grandfather's stories of adventure hauling freight between New Detroit and Oxford, fighting off pirates and Retros, and the boy dreamed of a day when he too would be able to travel the stars.
After graduation from university he traveled to the UUE and in 2940 he was commissioned in the Navy. It was here that his success with women earned him the handle Pimpin8EZ. Military life was far more structured and political then he could stomach and just five days before his contract was up the Vanduul attacked Vega II. Aristodemus had been injured in a training accident the week prior and missed the battle. His separation had been processed and, after his recovery, he spent all he had to acquire an Avenger and become a privateer like his grandfather.
