Bio
Born in New Austin in 2906, Jason Pixley has spent his adult life flying fighter craft. Signing with the Navy as soon as he could, Pixley served as a fighter pilot for more than ten years. While recognized for his skill during the first half of his career, the latter half was marred with marital problems, exhaustion from fighting Vanduul for so long, and several instances of financial irresponsibility.
He was divorced in 2941, with his ex-wife taking primary guardianship over their teenage kid. This led him into a spiral of emotional problems that culminated in him leaving the Navy mid-2942. After failing to make some money on his own, he decided to start an organization to gather people to help him actually do something using his combat expertise. Thus, Pick and Shield was born.
When he's not out on patrol or escorting someone through seedy space, he works to put on the irregularly-airing Spectrum radio show about everyday pilots,"Comm Chatter", which he hosts with Alderin Gerand.
