Actual birth unknown, Synapse was first identified in a cryogenics chamber believed to be of early 21st century Earth design. The chamber was discovered in a cargo ship, seized in an investigation regarding invalid vehicle license and registration. Synapse, legally Sin Aps, claims to be a citizen of Type I civilization Earth, Milky Way, who arranged for perpetual suspended animation as an eccentric experiment in the year 2055. He has no idea how he ended up in that cargo ship, but has expressed his fascination with the present state of civilization. Synapse was awarded a modest settlement for being awoken prematurely, which he has used to get his start as a Star Citizen. While there were short-lived rumors that Synapse is actually in a witness protection program to conceal his identity as a co-conspirator of the Xanthan Revolution, no such charges have been filed and claims are unverified.
