Pirate Flag Design Contest

In my work, I tried to capture the true spirit of piracy in Star Citizen - to highlight what real pirates breathe, feel, and live for.

I aimed to make the texture look as close as possible to real paint on a pirate flag’s canvas (I ended up hating working with Photoshop shapes along the way, lol). The meaning behind it, I think, will be clear to anyone who has ever taken a job that sounded like: “Just five minutes, let’s jump in and out!”

The centerpiece is my favorite ship in the game - the one beloved by pirates. And of course, the Grimm Hex logo, without which no pirate gameplay cycle feels complete. (By the way, the Corsair’s engine fit perfectly into the eye socket!)

Since the contest rules forbid AI-generated work, I focused only on what I created by hand. Making a full presentation of how it looks in-game would take too long by hand, so instead I’m showing the core content - the flag itself.
