I wanted to tackle speedpainting for the first time and was inspired by Mark Hamill's character Steve 'Old Man' Colton in Squadron 42.

I used a Wacom Intuos 5 tablet in Paintstorm Studio for a number of hours, broken down into sessions of 15-60 minutes. The rule I applied was that I only allowed myself to compare the original image with my own in Photoshop before each session. Then I attempted to memorize the various proportional errors and as a result I had to adapt proportions along the way when they were too dissimilar from the original.
I had fun with the process and wanted to share the rough details.
