Former UEE Navy captain, now labeled a deserter and pirate by the empire I served. I was demoted and shoved off into a deep corner of the Navy after refusing an order to retreat from a vanduul raid on a small frontier colony. My small recon fleet held the line and drove back the vanduul fleet, saving the colony. However, due to politics and the cowardice of my commanding admiral, instead of being promoted as a hero, I was stripped of my rank and assigned to backwater salvage duty. With my captains pension taken away, I had no future left to look forward to, and damn the empire that screwed me for doing the right thing, so I began to use my salvage crew to steal military assets and sell them on the black market. When they eventually caught me, I was court-martialled and sentenced to death. Lucky for me, my old crew stole my old command ship and busted me out before my execution. Now we go where we want, and take what we want, from whoever we want.
