On a quest to further dive into the origins of humanity, Ruce's parents set off on a deep space exploration to the Taranis system. Their ship, the Mythic Horizon. While exploring a promising lead for important artifacts, their ship went missing. Last known whereabouts of Ruce's parents were on Taranis III, the only planet in the system with an outpost. Gavid keeps much of this to himself, though his personal aim is to go to the Taranis system and investigate for himself.
As Ruce grew into a man, he found himself drawn to esoteric and spiritual pursuits. For all his internal search, more questions were found than answers. Ruce turned to mercenary work and deep space scouting to numb his pain, partially to find his way to oblivion. They say deep space has a way of playing tricks on the mind. Explorers have stories of some strange phenomena, natural events as something more divine. Ruce found more than he had bargained for and continues seeking to understand.
