History

Australis Space Alliance (ASA) was founded on 14 October 2948 by Tempest Fusion, and has run ever since with OldDogZ alongside him.

The idea was simple: build an industrial org that mines, hauls, builds and trades, and back it with enough security that the crew and the cargo get home.

Nine years on, the game has had its ups and downs and so have we. Through all of it we’ve kept a solid core, kept training people and kept flying.

“Australis” means the Southern Hemisphere. That’s where we started, but our crew comes from everywhere.

Manifesto

What we do

Twelve careers across three tracks:

  • Security: combat flight, ground security, field medic, field engineer.
  • Industry: mining, salvage, hauling, construction.
  • Biomedical Science & Exploration: medical, exploration, crafting, engineering.

Every career has its own in-house manual and checklist, so you learn it properly instead of guessing.

How joining works

  1. Hit Join ASA in our Discord and fill in the short form. An officer reviews it.
  2. You start a 2-week trial as a Recruit, with a buddy to show you around. Turn up to a couple of ops a week and talk to people. That’s it.
  3. Verify your RSI account, pass the trial, and you’re Crewman.
  4. From there it’s Operator, Specialist, Lieutenant, Commander and Captain. Each rank is earned with time, ops attended and a checklist signed off. No favourites.

What you get

  • Around 14 ops a week, morning and evening, so there’s usually something on when you’re online.
  • Training, a buddy, and officers who actually answer questions.
  • An internal shop and economy: sell your haul to the org, earn credit, spend it on gear.
  • A monthly Merit draw for the members who show up and get stuck in.
  • Live streams on Twitch, and a crew that has a laugh while it works.
  • Once a year, a week at our villa in Bali for the crew who want to catch up in real life.

What we expect

Show up, be professional, wear the uniform on ops, and treat people right. We’re family friendly and we run it like a business. We don’t keep dead wood or pad our numbers: everyone on our roster is an active member.
