Barracuda traces its roots to a disciplined unit within a larger security outfit operating along the volatile trade lanes between Crusader and Pyro. Though part of a broader organization, this tight-knit squadron quickly distinguished itself through fast, silent strikes and razor-sharp defensive work. Their unofficial callsign, Barracuda Wing, became known among traders as a quiet guarantee of safety—if Barracuda arrived, the threat was already over.

Breaking Away

Internal disagreements within the parent group—centered on tactics, leadership, and mission priorities—eventually led the squadron to split off. Choosing precision over politics, they continued operating independently, a move that strengthened their identity. Following several high-profile escorts, including the protection of medical convoys during the Stanton relief operations, the squadron formally restructured into a Private Military Company: Barracuda.
