The History of RRIP – Rusty In Places Founding Origins: Outer Systems, 2944 RRIP was established in 2944 by a diverse coalition of veterans, freelancers, and industrialists—many of whom had become disillusioned with the rigid command structures of the UEE and the unpredictable chaos of lawless space. • Founders included ex-military tacticians, former corporate operatives, and reformed pirates. • Despite their varied backgrounds, they shared a common ethos: “There’s strength in grit, and honor in rust.” • Early operations were centered in fringe systems like Nyx and Stanton, focusing on: • Mining and resource extraction • Salvage and reclamation • Freelance mercenary contracts • The name “Rusty In Places” reflected both their aging ships and battle-worn gear—and their pride in reliability over polish. Rise of the Roughnecks (2945–2950)

As RRIP expanded, its reputation solidified around operational excellence and crew-first culture.
Key developments included:
• Mining operations with rotating crews and equitable profit-sharing
• Security contracts in volatile zones, earning trust through consistency
• A culture defined by:
• Respect over rank
• Autonomy over bureaucracy
• Results over reputation
• The Roughnecks Division emerged as RRIP’s elite task force, specializing in:
• Deep-space salvage missions
• Black-zone bounty retrievals
• High-risk tactical deployments

Expansion into Pyro (2951–2953)

With the Pyro jump point opening, RRIP was among the first orgs to mobilize:
• Deployed mobile headquarters and forward operating bases
• Secured mining claims and strategic resource nodes
• Provided escort services for allied traders and convoys
Pyro’s lawless frontier aligned perfectly with RRIP’s ethos—rewarding grit, punishing arrogance, and offering space to grow.
During this phase, RRIP formalized its Code of Conduct, emphasizing:
• Mutual respect across all ranks
• Real-life balance and sustainable ops
• Zero tolerance for toxicity or ego-driven behavior

Modern-Day RRIP (2954–Present)

RRIP has evolved into a multi-role powerhouse with specialized divisions operating across Stanton, Pyro, and beyond:
• Mining & Industry – resource extraction, refinery ops, and convoy logistics
• Combat & Security – bounty hunting, zone control, and tactical response
• Logistics & Trade – supply chain management, trade routes, and escort services
• Exploration & Recon – anomaly scans, jump point mapping, and frontier scouting
The org continues to welcome new pilots, mentor rookies, and uphold its legacy of grit-driven excellence.
