History
Although the history of the Shieldwall Union. stretches back a fair few years and spans a number of different iterations. From November 22nd, 2022 (November 22nd, 2952) until April 9th, 2026 (April 10th, 2956) it was known as Shieldwall Securities Ltd. Its current form officially came into being on April 10th, 2026 (April 10th, 2956).
—————————————— Origins & Founding —————————————
Although officially founded on October 27th, 2017, the company remained inactive and essentially served as a placeholder shell for a small group of friends. While plans were initially drawn up to create a bigger crew by recruiting outsiders, they were abandoned as the original group slowly drifted apart and stopped playing together. Attempts at reuniting and playing together were made a handful of times, in mid-2018 and late 2019, but proved unsuccessful. Out of the original six players, three remain with the crew to this day.
In early 2022, Motsognir decided to casually get back into the game. A mere two days later he found himself caught up in JumpTown, banding together with a number of players to create an unified force against the well-organized Marauders org. This ragtag crew of misfits were informally known as The Lyria Cartel, and managed to wrestle control of Lyria’s JumpTown facility away from the Marauders, holding the facility for the better part of four hours until retreating to reap the profits of their brief war.
Despite this informal crew lasting for a mere few hours, it planted the seeds for something much bigger in the near future.
From November 22nd, 2022 until April 9th, 2026, the crew existed as Shieldwall Securities Ltd. Officially formed during IAE 2952 on November 22nd, 2022, when Motsognir and one of the since-departed founders decided to expand the crew by bringing in outsiders. The first of these recruits came a day later, with a second wave of four players following two days later. It is this initial group of people that helped shape the organisation as it is today. Although primarily EU-based at the time of creation, Shieldwall Securities Ltd. has since also gathered a small group of dedicated US-based players.
The most recent, current iteration of the crew was officially formed on April 10th, 2026 when Shieldwall Securities Ltd. disbanded and the Shieldwall Union was proclaimed.

Manifesto
Although many organisations have decided to pick roles and stick to them, we feel that locking ourselves into one loop would be a disservice to the depth that the game’s vision possesses. To such an end, we have decided that the Shieldwall Union will have no singular, defined role to play in the greater ‘Verse. We will shape the Union as time passes and lessons are learned.
————————————————— The Crew ————————————————
The principle of a shield wall is to stand shoulder to shoulder and hold your shield next to another’s, allowing all parties to enjoy greater protection than they would have on their own. To such an end, Shieldwall Union’s founding principle is that we stand together and offer that protection to its crew. We feel that joining our crew should be akin to becoming a regular at a local club, gym or pub. We are home to European and American, to young and old, to inexperienced and experienced.
We strive to remain true to our core values – Loyalty, Integrity & Trust.

We also strongly feel that having a multitude of rules and regulations will affect the Union negatively. As a result, we only have a number of guiding principles that serve as a ‘common sense’ reminder of sorts. We expect our crewmates to be mature enough to handle matters in a calm and reasonable manner.

▶ Consider your actions and words in-game, as toxicity paints us all in a bad light.
▶ Respect someone’s choice to not talk about sensitive topics.
▶ Is there something bothering you? Bring it up in private with either of the directors or a board member.
▶ Signing up for events means that you will do your best to attend. Can’t make it? Please let us know in advance. We understand it if life happens.
