VEILCON, a place to call home for citizens of all skill levels and time served. We welcome a good nature before a good shooter. We want players of all walks of the verse, soldiers, medics, mining crews, engineers. All are wanted by the consortium. DM the-unknown-man on spectrum for the discord link!
The veiled consortium was founded on the idea that an organisation should enhance a players experience, it should benefit its members and should be a community as well as a functioning organisation. A philosophy that we can achieve greatness by prioritising our members first. The idea was that with a focus on ensuring that members who join feel a part of the core of the group and a key member we reduce the inflated numbers and false membership, keeping activity levels high around the clock, and prevent the creation of a ghost town with a whole heap of ghosts in it.
How we operateOur organisation is multi-faceted and utilises the entirety of the game loops and professions the game has to offer, while allowing our members to specialise in these areas. Despite specialisation we never aim to restrict the gameplay available. You may have listed your specialisation as industry, but if you choose to spend your time as a soldier then that’s just as helpful, we firmly believe that members should do exactly what they want when they want to do it, no one has the authority to tell you how to spend your valuable spare time!
The futureWe have high aspirations, we truly believe that we can become one of the biggest, best organisations out there by delivering an experience that keeps members engaged, happy and having fun while also keeping them with the best equipment and access to all the latest content.
We as an organisation and a community aim to deliver the best experience for our members with activity all around the clock, aiming to change the way organisations are thought of.
You may have heard the term happy wife happy life, we believe in happy org happy pockets full of creds and content being done? maybe? doesn’t roll off the tongue does it….
rules
1. The group is the priority and treating each other with respect and decency is a must. Being rude and talking down to other members is a fast track way to being removed. Speak with decency and respect and if you haven’t got something constructive to say then simply don’t say it, we all have varying levels of ability and move at different paces so please respect that, everyone is learning and trying to understand the game and its nuances. When people are trying to learn something and need helpful information please don’t be a dick, don’t talk down and don’t be arrogant, nobody cares how smart you are, nobody cares how cool you are, help them!
2. Absolutely no racist abuse, no sexual harassment, no derogatory comments. Jokes are great, we love dark humour but there is definitely a line, when its not funny just simply stop it. Use your head.
3. Our business is just that, our business. We keep our cards close, the assets we have, the operations we have and the prices we charge or have previously charged remain strictly confidential amongst our members, the organisations we have built ties with value discretion and so do we. Any damage to these ties will result in removal.,
4. Your voice should be heard, but remember that you are not the main character. We love chit chat, friendly conversation and all the nonsense, but please remember there are other members in the VC that would like to join in. Further to this, when on operations you will not fill the comms with nonsense, of course, converse and chat away but don’t overpower the conversation, take a breath and leave space for everyone else to interact. And when all hell breaks loose please leave clear comms to allow the situation to be handled first.
In short, the collective comes first.
General code of conduct
The code of conduct generally refers to behaviour when participating in group content but is not limited to this.
1. When participating in group content remember that it is group content. there are times where time is of the essence, but when we are allowing people to experience new content please be patient and hold some time for them to look around and satisfy their curiosity. The group sets the pace, not one eager individual. Allow members time to explore where possible and time to loot goblin and play how they want to play. Remember how it felt to discover new things, don’t be that guy. There is no need to rush ahead kill hogging and spoiling the content for everyone else.
2. Real life obligations come first, people may need to dip away at moments unexpectedly, some people may only be able to participate for an hour. Both are completely acceptable examples. However, if you need to dip off or dont have much time then that is your personal problem, the group will continue the content without you at a pace that suits them. We do not expect anything of anyone, just be happy someone showed up at all, nothing in this video game is more important than real life scenarios. there are zero obligations or time requirements. do what you enjoy when you feel like it.
3. the uniform……..There are no uniform obligations, we hand out equipment sets where needed based on the organisations preferred set, this does not mean you need to wear it to join in or ever wear it at all for that matter, the only exception to this rule is when you are on an operation as part of an external contract, we offer our men out to hire for other players and organisations and when taking part in this there must be an air of professionalism and uniformity. Yes it does help, its not all just for show or to be cool, the uniform and the colour schemes allow us to identify a friendly when the name tags bug in FPS and yes this does happen a decent bit, it also allows you to know who is most likely carrying a med gun with refills or food and drink, who is most likely to be carrying a max lift, or who is most likely to have the high value resources on them. But this is simply a thought to keep in mind, not a requirement when doing internal ops or just generally out having fun.
5. The roles and rankings are not a level of authority over anyone, it doesn’t matter if you are a chairman or a freshly joined consort, if you have content you want to do then post it in the relevant operations chat and get it going. The different rankings are for us to ensure content spread and organisation of assets and general goals are being headed towards, it is a notice of who is controlling what section of the organisation for me, be it by department or by region. They are there for me to allocate out portions of this organisation to those who deserve it. But for you, these people are representatives, if you need ship parts then speak to the high consorts of engineering, if you need advice for a combat op then speak to the HV ops high consorts, they are there to help and so is everyone else. We are an organisation but we are also a community of good people who want you to enjoy the game as much as we do!
The final note is simple. If the rules are breached you will be removed without notice. If the code of conduct is breached you will be removed without notice. If you do not fit the vibe or spoil the atmosphere you will be removed without notice.
