A medical emergency locator (MEL) is a tracking device manufactured by CureLife that can be used to trace a person's location in the event of injury, illness, or other dire circumstances. It was included as a part of the uniform of all service members in the United Empire of Earth (UEE) military until it was replaced by an improved locator manufactured by BiotiCorp Limited. Now fully phased out of military uniforms, the MEL is still used by the Advocacy and the UEE Diplomatic Corps.
