The Life/Labor-style employee contract is a controversial legal agreement that gives a corporation a high degree of control over employees in exchange for housing, medical support, and the provision of other social services. It was developed in the early 26th century by Arial Hurston and continues to be a major aspect of the Hurston Dynamics workforce today. Since its introduction, workers' rights groups have continually protested its use, stating that the contracts are intentionally structured to entrap employees into lifelong service with little avenues to complete or negate the contract.
