The oza is a commercial tree fruit grown in the United Empire of Earth (UEE). A hybrid of citrus trees that originated on Earth (Sol III), the oza was first grown on Angeli (Croshaw II) in 2812. Underneath its deep green rind is bright orange flesh with a tart, sweet, and bitter taste. Generally considered by Humans to be too fibrous to eat, the juice is prized for its complex taste and is popularly used as flavoring in sweet and savory applications, as well as in numerous cocktail recipes.
