History

Bane Transport Industries (BTI): Riding the Trade Winds Since 2891

Born in the aftermath of economic collapse and political unrest, Bane Transport Industries was founded in 2891 on the rugged outskirts of Terra by a group of former UEEN pilots, freelance haulers, and one stubborn logistics expert with a dream. With nothing more than a beat-up Crusader C1 Spirit, they took their first contract: a high-risk med-supply run to a quarantined outpost in the Oberon system.

It wasn’t glamorous. It wasn’t safe. But it paid — and it built something rare: trust.

BTI quickly earned a reputation for going where no one else would. When other companies turned down jobs in volatile systems or demanded convoy escorts, BTI pilots ran solo — bold, fast, and reliable. By 2910, the company had expanded its fleet, favoring the Starlancer MAX for its unmatched cargo flexibility and rugged endurance.

Wherever there was a stranded miner, a colony on the edge, or a critical cargo left undelivered, BTI answered the call. Their iconic ships — sleek, functional, always battle-scarred — became a symbol of grit and defiance. From the smog-choked ports of Grim Hex to the icy landing zones of Euterpe, BTI’s blue-and-black livery came to represent more than freight. It meant someone gave a damn.

BTI pilots were known as misfits: ex-Marines, disillusioned traders, former smugglers trying to go straight. But they all swore the same oath:
“Cargo secure. Engines hot. No matter the system, we deliver.”

Now, in 2955, with growing instability across Stanton and threats like XenoThreat tightening their grip on trade lanes, BTI has stepped into the spotlight. They’ve upgraded their fleet, fortified their routes, and even begun partnering with local militias to safeguard vital cargo corridors.

The mega-corps want to buy them out. Pirates want them gone. But Bane Transport Industries isn’t interested in playing politics.

They’re too busy flying.

Bane Transport Industries (BTI): We Don’t Just Cross the Stars. We Own the Route.

Manifesto

BANE TRANSPORT INDUSTRIES: THE MANIFESTO

We are not a corporation.
We are not beholden to shareholders, bureaucrats, or distant suits who’ve never set foot on a flight deck.
We are not fair-weather traders who scatter at the first sensor ping.

We are Bane Transport Industries.
We deliver where others run.
We fly when others fail.
We endure what others fear.

We Were Built in the Black

We started with one ship — a battered C1 Spirit with a half-burned nav system and a full tank of ambition.
We didn’t wait for permits or praise. We moved what had to be moved, when it had to be moved.
And when the big corps laughed at us, we out-flew them.

Now we run Starlancer MAXes across systems the UEE barely maps.
We cross jump points blind.
We land in hostile zones.
We get the cargo through.

We Do Not Abandon

Not cargo.
Not clients.
Not crew.

Out there, it’s easy to feel alone.
To think no one’s coming.
But when you see our livery — blue on black, scarred but flying — you know: someone showed up.

We believe in second chances.
We believe in the frontier.
We believe the edge of space is worth saving — one crate, one outpost, one honest contract at a time.

Profit Is Not Purpose

We don’t undercut. We don’t cheat.
Our credits are earned, not squeezed from desperation.
BTI doesn’t ask for loyalty — we earn it.

If you want fast riches, look elsewhere.
If you want legacy, integrity, and a shot at something real — you’ve found your port.

The Oath of BTI

“Engines hot. Manifest locked. Route clear or not — we fly.”

From Stanton to Leir, from Pyro to Nul,
We are the lifeline in the dark.
We are the route when no one else shows.
We are Bane Transport Industries.

And we.
Do.
Not.
Stop.

Charter

Charter of Bane Transport Industries (BTI)

Ratified in 2891, Amended 2954

Article I – Founding Purpose

Bane Transport Industries was established to provide reliable, independent freight and logistical services across the known and fringe systems of the United Empire of Earth (UEE).
Our purpose is threefold: 1. To Serve underserved systems and frontier outposts beyond the reach of corporate logistics and central UEE infrastructure. 2. To Deliver critical cargo under high-risk conditions with integrity, resilience, and speed. 3. To Preserve the spirit of independent flight and defend lawful commerce from criminal and political suppression.

Article II – Core Principles

All members of BTI are bound to uphold the following principles: • Loyalty to Crew – No member of BTI shall be left behind in pursuit of a contract. • Cargo Integrity – Tampering, piracy, or unauthorized salvage is forbidden. • Operational Independence – BTI remains unaffiliated with major corporate entities or state interests unless aligned with our values. • Mutual Respect – All crew and clients, regardless of origin, rank, or system of residence, are treated with fairness and respect. • Frontier Justice – Where UEE law fails, BTI enforces its own code with fairness, force if necessary, and accountability.

Article III – Organizational Structure

BTI operates as a decentralized cooperative. Roles include but are not limited to: • High Dispatcher – Oversees strategic operations, contracts, and system-wide deployments. • Fleet Quartermaster – Manages fleet assignments, cargo manifests, and equipment standards. • Route Captains – Senior transport operatives with authority over long-haul missions and crew. • Contract Ops – Responsible for mission logistics, client coordination, and crew deployment. • Flight Crew – The heart of BTI: pilots, engineers, gunners, couriers, and survivalists.

All roles are earned through experience, trust, and flight hours — not bought, not inherited.

Article IV – Code of Engagement

BTI maintains a Defensive Combat Posture. Engagement in combat is permitted only under these circumstances: • To defend BTI crew or vessels from active threat • To protect client cargo or neutral third-party assets under BTI escort • In retaliation against pirate factions, slavers, or hostile groups confirmed to operate unlawfully within UEE-recognized space

Engagements must be logged via blackbox data and reviewed post-mission by Fleet Command.

Article V – Membership & Conduct

To fly under the BTI banner, a pilot or crew member must: • Pass a vetting process • Complete the “Run Cold, Run True” orientation flight • Uphold the Manifesto and Charter at all times • Accept termination of contract in the case of breach, insubordination, or criminal activity

Crew members found guilty of sabotage, piracy, or betrayal shall be permanently blacklisted and reported to relevant system authorities and syndicate watchlists.

Article VI – Amendments & Autonomy

This charter may be amended through consensus vote by active Route Captains and executive crew.
BTI shall remain autonomous unless forced into dissolution by catastrophic loss or external existential threat.

Signed,
Commander Bane
