Deeds of nebulous morality done for extravagant pay.

History

Originating as the security forces of the city of Gamelon, the 130th Star Cavalry was converted by decree into a mercenary formation as part of an initiative to bring in more hard currency. The city’s previous source of income, luxury hand printed books, had fallen to worthlessness once trade relations with the Banu were established.

This marks the only time in human history when inexpensive luxury books of alien manufacture can be said to have had direct military impact. This organization’s unique combination of immorality, ineffectiveness, and genuine altruism towards its founding city have earned the group a reputation as near pirates.

Manifesto

The intention of the 130th Star Cavalry is to generate revenue streams enriching the Star City of Gamelon. A quirk of the letter of mark the organization possesses is a complete amnesty for any actions performed outside the city limits. It is the view of the current leadership that this immunity, while unrecognized in the larger empire, is grounds for any number of questionable money-making schemes.

Charter

The 130th Star Cavalrymen demands the following of its members:

A cavalryman must be well dressed and fashionable at all times.

Whenever possible, cavalrymen must favor the use of size 9 torpedoes.

All opportunities for wealth must be followed to conclusion, even in the face of tragedy.

The Yubarev Electron Effect weapon is banned.
